"We are very pleased to announce that DRIVE Off Road Racing will be heading North to Primm Nevada to kick off its 2010 season with SNORE on February 19th - 21st at the Battle at Primm." said Doug Wasser, President of DRIVE Off Road Racing.

When asked why is DRIVE teaming up with SNORE, Doug had this to say.

"Many of the drivers that raced with us in 2009 have been talking about SNORE's Battle at Primm since last year. It was definitely a race that we did not want to schedule too close to. SNORE had 275 entries last year and will most likely top 300 this year. Kicking off our season with SNORE allows us to give our racers what they want, grass root entry fees, great competition, and being able to race two series for points on one prep."

DRIVE's role at Battle at Primm will be much like 1450.org, PRO 9, PRO 1600, etc. Everyone will pay SNORE their entry fee. Racers that are planning on Continuing the 2010 season with DRIVE in Plaster City will pay a $100 fee to DRIVE. $25 will go to year end points funds, $50 will go to driver payback, and the remaining $25 will go to awards and expenses.

All racers that sign up with DRIVE for this event will receive points towards the 2010 DRIVE Championship Series along with a 50% payback from DRIVE.

DRIVE will also be bringing the "TWITTER Real Time Update Software" with them so that everyone that wants to see live lap times can via TWEETS on their phone or computer.

"We would like to thank everyone at SNORE for welcoming us with open arms! Over the next month we will be releasing more details as we work together with SNORE. See you all in Primm." said Wasser.

Snore is considering making head and neck restraint systems mandatory in 2011. We want to know how the racers feel about this. Which one fits your opinion most accurately?
