The 5th Annual "Wish Ride" event will be held on October 5th, 2008 at 10:00am at the S/F area,
the day after the South Points SNORE 250 annual race that has run for 38 years consecutively.
Don Wall, President of SNORE and all the SNORE members and volunteers put on this event primarily to give all the kids with life-threatening illnesses of the Make-a-Wish Foundation Southern Nevada Chapter a day of play away from Doctors and Hospitals.
SNORE provides everything including food, games, large inflatible jumps and slides, etc.
The kids get to ride in state of the art off road race cars and trucks on the actual desert race course. They get as many rides as they want and their families also get to take the rides as well.
In addition, we encourage donations to the Make-a-Wish Foundation at 3885 So. Decatur Blvd., Suite 1000, Las Vegas, NV 89103, (Ph: (702) 212-WISH ) in the name of the Wish Ride event, to help raise money toward granting wishes for the kids.
So far over the last 4 events, we have raised $100,000. On Oct 5th, our 5th annual Wish Ride, we hope to raise at least $20,000 or more.
This has become the most favorite event, especially since the kids get to participate, that the leaders of the Make-a-Wish Chapter have asked to combine their annual picnic with our Wish Ride event. Some sponsors are LAY'S® brand potato chips, Pepsi, St Rose Dominican Hospitals, Harley Davidson, Walmart and many others...
We have a DVD of every event. A complimentary DVD is available upon request from last years Wish Ride.
